Corragho
In the centre of the parish on the West side of and close to the Mail Coach road from Cavan to Dublin. It is bounded on the North by Lavey Lough. Proprietor is Revd. Stewart Smith of Cavan who holds it on a lease renewable for ever from Alex Saunderson Esqr. of Castlesaunderson at £16 8s. yearly. Holdings are from 8 to 15 acres Irish. Leases are for 2 lives or 21 years. Rents are from 17s to 20s per Irish acre. Soil is good clay soil which produces oats, flax and potatoes. Surface is gently undulating.
