Rakeevan
The property of Sir Wm. Young. It contains 725a. 0r. 6p., including 1r. 36p. of water, 29 1/2 acres of bog and 3 1/2 acres of rocky ground. Farms are from 4 to 20 acres and are let at from 30s. to 40s. per acre. It produces oats, barley, potatoes and flax. This townland and Conaghey are included in the Co. Cess book as containing 9 carvaghs which pay £1.19s.10d. per carvagh Co. Cess. There are four ancient forts in this townland; one is called Rakeevan Fort on which stands a trigl. station 667 feet above low water.
