Rassuddan
Contains 228 statute acres about 17 of which are bog and rough ground. It is the property of Major Nesbit of Crossdony (sic) and the agent is John Tatlow Esqr. of Crossdoney. The greater portion of the townland is held by the proprietor and the remainder, about 70 acres, is held under lease of one life and 31 years by Mr. McManus, of Castlerahan. Rent is £0.6s.8d. per acre and set by him to undertenants from ten shillings and six pence to £1.4.0d. per acre. Bog is free. Size of farms is from 9 to 30 acres. Soil generally is of a pretty good loam and produces good crops of oats, potatoes and flax. Manure is dung and lime. Co. Cess is from six pence to eight pence per acre per half year. Religion -? all Roman Catholics with the exception of one family of Protestants. A corn mill stands in the North West corner of the townland and on the South East side are very good rocks which are generally used for public buildings.
