It is the property of the Rector of Killinkere parish, and contains 654 1/2 acres of which 148 1/2 are bog, 13 of rough pasture and the Bailieborough and Bally- jamesduff road passes through it and a bye road also. It contains the parish church and the glebe house with 6 1/2 acres of plantation. It also contains 3 forts one of which in the N. part is 533 feet above the sea and another hill on the S. part is 475 feet above the sea. (It was in this townland that General Philip Sheridan of the U.S.A. Army was born. L.OC.)
